More than 90% of divorce cases are settled outside of court. So why would you want to pay for a traditional divorce process when the odds are that you won’t be spending much time in front of a judge? Our philosophy centers on seeking agreement from day one because we felt that there were very few law firms in the Seattle area that focused on that necessary part of creating a divorce settlement. Our attorneys and staff feel coming to a truce is the best way to approach most family issues and we communicate that to our clients.

We know mediation.

Given the choice, we recommend divorcing couples start with mediation, rather than wait to use it as a last resort. Mediation gives partners the opportunity to work out their differences and know they both did their best to understand and to be fair to the other side. It also allows both parties to feel more positive about the end of their relationship. We have many years of experience helping couples navigate the issues that come up during divorce mediations, along with the empathy and patience needed to make sure everyone is heard and understood.
